Woman charged with murder over ‘trans’ tube death

A 34-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a person at Kings Cross Station on Monday evening.

Nina Kanagasingham from Cricklewood, north-west London, is to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court today.

The victim, said by police to be a 63-year-old man from central London, is understood to have been wearing women’s clothes.

Police have not released the identity of the victim, or whether he or she was transgender. However, the death is not being treated as a hate crime.

Horrified passengers saw the victim being struck by a tube train at rush hour.

The victim was initially believed to be female and witnesses described seeing two women sharing a joke before one was struck by the train.
